Baritone guitars have appeared in a surprisingly wide variety of songs, yet are largely unheralded. This one may be just what you need to complete your sound – the 28.5" scale length plays more like a standard guitar than a bass, but it has low-end power that standard guitars can only dream about. The treble strings have overtones and harmonics that are unheard of in standard guitars.
The neck is laminated, quartersawn walnut and maple. It is a through-body design for stability and strength. The "wings" are birds-eye maple over basswood and is weight-relieved so that it tips the scales at only 7.7 lbs.
Not sure if this will fit into the sound you want? The pickups are Seymour-Duncan's P-rails©, combined with the Triple Shot© mounting rings. These pack a lot of options in a small, convenient pair of switches for each pickup. Combined with the standard 3-way selector switch, you get 24 tone options before the signal even gets to the pedals or amps. Not counting the tone knobs. This baritone has flexibility rare in any guitar.
It is currently tuned to a perfect 5th lower than standard guitar tuning, so chord patterns are the same as standard tuning on a 24.625" or 25.5" scale length. But the baritone scale length is well suited for drop down tuning, just in case you want to get a little crazy.
But forget all the specs. The sound is unforgettable, taking you into the depths of clear, powerful bass tones while still playing like a standard guitar. You may not want to come out.
